April 1st Resort Opens for the Season
Grey’s Point Camp is open and ready with a fun filled list of activities and events for the 2008 season.
April 18th -20th Welcome Back Weekend
We’re glad you’re here for the 2008 season. Be sure you come to the free Hot Dog Roast on Saturday night.
May 2nd - 4th Mexican Fiesta Weekend
It’s almost the 5th of May, so grabyour sombrero and join the fun at our Mexican Fiesta. It’s sure to be a fantastico time! Did someone say piñatas?
May 9th -11th Mother’s Day Weekend
Being kind to moms and grandmoms is something we try to do everyday of the year, but Mother’s Day is extra special! Kids’ crafts workshop is the place to make something special for the occasion, and there will be activities for the whole family to enjoy with mom. Don’t miss the craft show on Saturday!
May 23rd - 26th Memorial Day Weekend
Here at Grey’s Point and across the country, this is the official start to summer. Our pools are open for the season, including our new SPRAY POOL with WATERSLIDE! There are lots of special events planned for the weekend. Games, crafts, hayrides, and rides onboard our train THE GREY’S POINTER just to mention a few.
June 13th - 15th Father’s Day Weekend
Dads’ weekend to take it easy, kick back, and enjoy being catered to by his family. Mom can work with the kids on a special treat for dad at the craft workshop. And don’t forget the Poppa’s Potluck Supper on Saturday night. Grey’s Point will supply BBQ Sandwiches, drinks, and paper goods. Campers bring a dish to share.
June 20th - 22nd Race Weekend

June 27th - 29th Casino Weekend
Casino Weekend is back! Do you feel lucky? Place your bets at the Grey’s Point Casino. Use your GP money to place bets and enter to win prizes. You won’t strike it rich, but you will have a terrific time.
July 3rd - 6th Independence Day Weekend
Our annual Golf Cart Parade is a colorful exciting event, with decorated carts, bicycles, pets, and people, all dressed for the occasion. The most creative designs will be awarded prizes. The Watermelon Feast following the parade will quench your thirst and cool you down. If not, the Ice Cream Social will do the trick.
July 11th -13th Chocolate Weekend
Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate! And even more chocolate! Things might get a little messy, but hey, who cares, it’s chocolate. So bring your taste buds and join the fun
July 18th -20th 60’s Sock Hop Weekend
Let’s Twist Again, Wooly Bully, Runaway, and Leader of the Pack! Do these songs sound familiar? Then this is your weekend to be at Grey’s Point Camp! Join us for a good old 60’s Sock Hop Dance, we’ll have the music blasting, you bring the costumes. Let’s twist again like we did last summer!
July 25th -27th Christmas in July Weekend
Dashing through the snow to Grey’s Point we will go. Bring your favorite decorations for our site decorating contest. Christmas crafts and caroling are just a couple of the holiday activities scheduled for this weekend.
August 1st -3rd Luau Weekend & Urbanna Buy Boat Festival Weekend
This is a sight to see. Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and other assorted tropical outfits are the attire for our Saturday evening luau. You won’t want to miss the Queen of the Island Contest! The rest of the weekend is packed with lots of other activities to round out the island festivities.
This weekend is also joined by the Urbanna Buy Boat Festival. Go to nearby Urbanna and enjoy exhibits, food vendors, entertainment, and view some great restored Buy Boats.
August 8th -10th Steamed Crab Feast Weekend
This is the weekend for crab lovers. Saturday night it’s our ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Crab Feast. They are served up with all the fixin’s plus your favorite beverages. We also have a large landlubber’s spread that’ll be to your liking.
August 15th -17th Kids Only Weekend
Mom and Dad had their days. Now its time for the kids weekend. There will be all kinds of crafts to do, plus games and events just for them, with hayrides and an ice cream social as well.
August 22nd -24th Magical Weekend
It’s an Abracadabra weekend! See what magical things await you at Grey’s Point Camp. Our magician is sure to delight and entertain you, and there will be many other activities to surprise and amaze.
August 29th - September 1st Labor Day Weekend
Summer isn’t over yet! We have an action packed weekend with games, crafts, activities and events for everyone. Labor Day is the last chance to take a dip in the pools, run through the spray features, or take a ride down the water slide, so don’t miss out on the fun!
September 5th -7th Chili Cook-Off Weekend
It’s a tailgate weekend, with a family flag football game and punt, pass, and kick contests. Then bring your favorite recipe and warm up those taste buds for our chili cook-off. This could be where the legend of your secret chili recipe begins!
September 26th -28th Wings & Wheels Weekend
Grey’s Point Camp is the best place to stay for Wings & Wheels Weekend at Hummel Field, about a mile from the campground just down Route 3 in Topping. Airplane and automobile fans, this weekend is for you. There will be antique planes and classic cars along with plenty to eat and great entertainment at the airfield.
October 10th -12th Fall Festival Weekend
Autumn is here, and to welcome it in our Fall Festival is a weekend full of late season activities. We’ll have a big arts and crafts show, hayrides and train rides, and a potluck supper on Saturday night with a bonfire to cap off the evening.
October 17th -19th Camper Appreciation Weekend
As the season winds down, we want to thank all of you for camping with us this year. Please join us Saturday night for our free Hot Dog Roast.
October 24th - 26th Halloween Weekend I
Join us for the family fun Halloween Weekend. Our Halloween Carnival is the highlight of Saturday night. Bring your favorite decorations for our site decorating contest. Costume contests for all ages, a cake walk, and much more will fill up your activity schedule.
October 31st – November 2nd Halloween Weekend II
The ghosts & goblins, witches and things that go bump in the night will be around this weekend. Grey’s Point will be a scary place to venture out after dark! If you are brave enough to enter our HAUNTED HOUSE, you’ll find some chilling surprises.
November 7th -9th 51st Annual Urbanna Oyster Festival Weekend
Ever since the first festival back in 1957, the Urbanna Oyster Festival has attracted more and more people from throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic States. Now in its 51st year, the Urbanna Oyster Festival draws crowds over 90,000, all of whom are excited to partake in the food, fun and festivities offered at the festival.
November 15th Resort Closes for the Season
It’s time again to close Grey’s Point Camp for the season. We look forward to bringing you more great events, entertainment and fun filled activities in 2009.
